This meeting is an important part of the IRTG qualification program. All PhD students give lectures on their current research projects. There is an opportunity to discuss their work with other IRTG members and to address chances and challenges. Annual Convent provides space for networking, for discussion on further scientific plans and collaboration as well as common publications. All PhD students will meet their supervisors from Freiburg and Vancouver to discuss their performance and progress made so far and to plan next steps. Participants will learn what other IRTG members already work on by visiting labs and attending poster sessions.
