The approach to non-equilibrium: Lessons from water cluster beams
Molecular beams come with their own rules for thermal processes. They differ from those of canonical equilibrium on essential points. Some consequences of these will be illustrated with examples from work on water clusters, both pure and ammonia-doped, on quantities like structure[1,2], heat capacities [3], relative stabilities [4,5], and free energies [2,6].
